This beautiful ride starts at the Haymarket Bicycles Shop, and takes us north to Philomont. It starts by going on Antioch, and mountain rd, to Aldie, then we start our climb up Snickersville turnpike. This first half of the ride are challenging rollers all the way in Snickersville turnpike. Today, I’m talking about High Intensity Interval Training with Endurance.
This is a specific type of interval training. Specifically, 60 Second HIIT Workouts, which are designed to completely exhaust your muscles of their stored energy, this energy will take 24hr to 48 hrs to replenish. This HIIT training is superb for immediate fat burning and weight loss. The fat burning occurs also during the important post-workout period, as it primes your body to continue burning fat for hours after the workout is complete.

I’ve been watching and evaluating rollers for a very long time, but never pulled the trigger on any of them. I have a Kettler Ergoracer GT spinning bike
as well as the Computrainer for my bike.
Both provide great entertainment and fitness for indoor riding, but… I don’t use them much. In spite of the fact that both allow me to do virtual racing, I still get bored and never find enough motivation to use them at home.

Today, it was a new ride… well, rather an extension to a very well known ride.
The typical ride starts at the Warrenton gateway trail end at Old Meetze rd, and loops to Calverton, then Casanova… Today, I decided to add 10 miles, extending the ride until elk run rd.
The weather was still nice, but it was a bit nippy, sign that fall is coming toan end, and the cold days of winter are just around the corner…

Today, the weather was still nice, but it looked like one of the last days of Fall… Headed out to the Haymarket Bicycles Shop for the typical Time Trial loop:
The typical profile… relatively flat, with long gradual climb on the way back, before the high speed finish on Antioch road on the way back to Haymarket:
The workout was mostly an Endurance ride, with most time spent on Zone 3:

What a beautiful day for a Century ride.
On her way to the first ever century ride, before the ride, TQ was busy carbo-loading:
The ride was extremely fast, and soon there was a massive fast group taking the road:
This 2010 Seagull Century was an amazingly fast ride in a beautiful day. One rider was doubling as cameraman, and captured some pretty amazing footage of the ride. Check it out !!!!!!!!!!
